Help is Needed for the National Veterans Wheelchair Games.
The 32nd National Veterans Wheelchair Games, celebrating the talents and tenacity of our nation's brave heroes, will be held in Richmond from June 25 through June 30, 2012. The club has committed to supporting this event, and is looking for volunteers to assist in running the games. Come join us on, June 12th, our guest speaker will be Mike Berry. Mike is a Master Instructor for the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), a Master Underwater Criminal Investigator/Instructor, a certified personal physical fitness trainer, an Emergency Medical Technician, a Land Search and Rescue Instructor Trainer, a Ropes Rescue Instructor and a Swiftwater Rescue Instructor to name just a few of his qualifications. Mike is currently a First Sergeant with the Virginia State Police and serves as their Search and Recovery Team (SRT) Operations Coordinator and Head Diving Instructor.
Socializing begins at 6:00 p.m. and the meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. Mi Hacienda Mexican Restaurant, located at 8250 Midlothian Turnpike, in Richmond.
